Material Nonu
material 的解释是：“a substance that can be used for making or doing sth”
iron-铁 是material 比较好理解，铁可以用来铸剑 或 冶炼成各种器具。
但是为什么coffee 是material noun呢？coffee 不就是 coffee吗？难道因为coffee + 牛奶-》拿铁，coffee + sugar -》咖啡糖，所以它是material？
暂时的理解：material noun 代表没有固定形状的 或 可以以多种形式 出现的事物。包括液体形式存在的事物。

可数与不可数

可数：
本身：有单、复数形式
搭配： a/an + 可数名词单数；数词（one、two。。。）+ 可数名词复数
不可数：
本身：一般没有复数形式
搭配：the/物主代词（my、your。。。）、more、some + 复数名词

• 只能作可数：bag, bed, chair, knife, ...
• 只能作不可数：baggage, clothing, cutlery, ...

多数名词既可以是可数也可以是不可数，根据它在上下文 及 句中的含义确定其是可数还是不可数。

一些个体名词可用作不可数名词

1. noun + enough

2. too much/little

• He seems to have too much mouth and too little ear.

3. the + noun

• The pen is mightier than the sword.
